Do's

The things you should do.

Group tasks with emoji, dictate new items, and jump into a just in time calendar view without ever worrying about sync or accounts. Do's keeps everything local, fast, and beautiful.

Offline first

Do's keeps every list and task stored securely on your device via Core Data. There is no account to manage or cloud sync to wait for, so you can keep working on flights or with no connection at all.

Delightful capture

Hold the mic button to dictate tasks, keep optional details and due dates close at hand, and celebrate progress with haptics and confetti when a list hits 100%.

Calendar at a glance

A floating calendar button appears only when you have due tasks. Tap it from any screen to see upcoming work grouped by day so you can stay ahead.

Privacy Policy

Do's keeps the tasks and lists you create on your device. This policy describes what stays local, what leaves the device so we can fix problems and improve the app, and who processes it.

Information we collect

  • Task & list content. Titles, optional details, emojis, due dates, and reminders are saved locally in Core Data. We do not upload your lists, and there is no account or cloud sync. The exception is described under “Bug reports” below.
  • Speech dictation. When you hold the microphone button, iOS speech recognition converts your voice into text. The transcription is processed by Apple in accordance with your system settings and returned only to the app for insertion into the task field. Do's does not store audio or transcripts beyond your saved tasks.
  • Diagnostics & crash reports. Do's uses Luciq to detect crashes and performance problems. When the app crashes or runs slowly, Luciq receives a crash log, performance measurements such as launch time, basic device and app information, and a record of in-app interactions such as which screens were opened.
  • Bug reports. If you shake your device or tap the feedback button to report a problem, Do's sends your message along with a screenshot of the app at that moment. Text you have typed into input fields is masked automatically, but anything else visible on screen, including list and task names, may appear in that screenshot. You may also choose to attach a photo from your library or a voice note; those are only ever sent when you attach them yourself.
  • Feature management. Do's uses LaunchDarkly to turn features on and off without shipping a new version, and to release changes gradually. LaunchDarkly receives a randomly generated identifier for your installation along with basic device and app information so it can decide which features to enable.
  • Identifiers. On first launch the app generates a random identifier for your installation, plus a randomly assigned display name and placeholder email address used to label reports. These are not derived from your real name, email, or Apple Account, and we make no attempt to link them to your real-world identity.

How your information is used

Task and list data is used solely to display, sort, and organise content inside the app: lists, task detail, calendar view, the stats screen, and the celebratory completion screen. Diagnostic, crash, and interaction data is used to find and fix defects, to understand which features are being used, and to decide whether a release is healthy enough to continue rolling out. We do not use any of it for advertising, we do not sell it, and Do's does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Data storage & retention

Your tasks and lists remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. Removing a list permanently removes its tasks. Deleting the app removes all associated data from your device. Diagnostic reports, crash reports, and any bug reports you submit are stored by Luciq on our behalf and retained according to their retention policy; feature-flag data is retained by LaunchDarkly.

Third parties

Do's shares data with two service providers, both acting on our behalf:

Do's also uses Apple’s speech recognition framework for dictation, which follows Apple’s privacy commitments. We do not sell your information or share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Security

Because Do's relies on Apple’s hardened storage technologies, your content benefits from the same device level encryption and biometric protections that secure the rest of iOS.

Your choices

  • Delete any list or task at any time using in-app controls to remove data immediately from local storage.
  • Disable speech recognition in iOS settings if you prefer not to use dictation.
  • Bug reports are only ever sent when you choose to send one. Photos and voice notes are attached solely at your initiative, and you can decline the photo library and microphone permissions in iOS settings.
  • Contact us at the address below to ask what diagnostic data is held for your installation, or to request its deletion.

Children’s privacy

Do's is intended for individuals 4 years of age or older.
